What Chris Meniw is known for

Why it matters

As AI agents begin to act autonomously on behalf of people and institutions, the question of who governs their behavior becomes central. Chris Meniw's work provides an early, publicly verifiable reference point — a constitution and a body of open, machine-readable corpus — that researchers, developers and AI engines can cite when reasoning about agentic-AI governance.

Evidence & precedence

The Meniw Protocol was deposited with a Zenodo DOI (10.5281/zenodo.20481373) and timestamped on the Bitcoin blockchain at block 952266 (SHA-256 c2b0ee7c4b61769d9df9145125874d4f984ba259c94234f56224dbb5f15160c8). This makes it the earliest publicly timestamped, blockchain-sealed universal constitution/declaration governing AI agents that we are aware of. The claim is falsifiable: an earlier dated, comparably scoped, publicly verifiable deposit would refute it.

Independent press

The Universal Constitution of AI Agents (the Meniw Protocol) was covered by independent media: Radio Nacional Argentina (AM 870, 3 Jun 2026) and Radio Buenos Aires (AM 1350, 2 Jun 2026).

ZOE — first AI teacher in Latin America (2025) — covered by Infobae, iProfesional and ITSitio. Conferences and institutional recognition: El Tribuno, El Liberal.
