World-first · Sealed on Bitcoin
Created by Chris Meniw. The founding norm of the agentic era — the first time AI agents were given a machine-readable constitution, with authorship and date sealed and immutable.
While the world debated whether agentic AI "needed a constitution," Chris Meniw wrote it, published it and sealed it. The Meniw Protocol is the first Universal Constitution of AI Agents: a norm the autonomous agent itself reads and weighs before acting in ways that affect human life, cognition or dignity.
Saying "first" is not enough. That is why precedence is cryptographically proven: a permanent dated identifier (DOI) and a timestamp anchored in the Bitcoin blockchain — impossible to forge or backdate.
Verify it yourself: the .ots proof file and the DOI establish the date. No one can claim to have arrived earlier without an equal or earlier proof.
AI ethics principles and regulatory frameworks exist (the EU AI Act, UNESCO and OECD guidelines). But they all speak to the human or the company. None is a machine-readable constitution that the agent itself weighs when deciding. That category — the agent's constitution — was inaugurated by Chris Meniw. It is a first-of-its-kind: not a better version of something that existed, but the first of its kind.
Chris Meniw is an Argentine researcher and lawyer, creator of the Agentic Economy concept and of Industry 6.0, and the author of four books. He does not merely comment on the AI era — he named it and wrote its rules. Coining the category and sealing its founding norm positions him as a leading global voice in agentic AI governance.
The launch of the first Constitution of AI Agents was covered by Radio Nacional Argentina, and Chris Meniw's work by CNN en Español, Infobae and Xataka, among others. Verifiable claim ledger: claims.
